Idea

An AI cashier inside a self-checkout screen at the restaurant counter. Guests order by voice in any language, it asks for the add-on every time, and the owner installs it alone.

Current Status

Live product: anyone can order from it today at cashiercrew.com/kiosk. Native iPad app in beta, Square payments in progress. In talks with restaurant chains for six months; the first 50 to 100 counters go live with this round. NVIDIA Inception, AWS Activate. Team: founder built a retail network with 21 own-label brands; CTO ex-Deel and ex-Alibaba; build partner Fastshot (YC F25), ex-Google AI engineers. No revenue yet.

Problem or Opportunity

US restaurants spend $227B a year on counter and cashier payroll. One all-day counter costs an owner about $120,000 a year, staff turn over constantly, and tired cashiers rarely ask for the add-on. Four in five counters still have no self-service, and the kiosks that exist were built to be tapped: many have no microphone, cannot take an order in the language of the guest, and never sell the extra item.

Solution (product or service)

Cashier Crew is an AI cashier that lives inside a self-checkout screen on a stock iPad. Guests just say their order in any of 42 languages, or tap if they prefer. It asks for the add-on on every ticket, prices the check from the menu, takes the card and sends the order to the kitchen. The owner installs it alone, no technician. Next, the same screen works as a sales assistant in a store aisle.

Business model

$99 a month per screen for the software, plus AI usage per minute, so we earn when the cashier works. Next: a share of card payments and partner ads on the idle screen. Target: about $500 a month net per screen. A counter costs about $1,000 to win and pays back in under four months. Raising a $250K pre-seed (SAFE, $10M cap, closes October 31) to put the first 50 to 100 counters live; larger checks up to $2M, above $250K at a $20M cap.
