Good Again is Indonesia’s AI powered surplus food marketplace, helping merchants recover lost revenue while consumers access quality meals for less, reducing food waste at scale.
Current Status
Good Again has validated demand before launch. Four food brands covering 20+ Jakarta locations committed to pilot, confirming demand for surplus revenue recovery. An organic waitlist of 100+ users, built without paid marketing, validates demand for affordable meals. Foodbank of Indonesia and BioEnzyme support our impact ecosystem. We won Northwestern NUIH, placed Top 3 in Chicago Booth’s GSEL, and joined Polsky’s 15 startup accelerator cohort, receiving a $10,000 SAFE and $100,000+ in resources. Our MVP is live, our pipeline is growing, and our Jakarta pilot launches within 1-2 month.
Problem or Opportunity
Indonesia wastes 48 million tons of food annually, enough to feed 85 million people for a year and representing over $23 billion in lost value, while 23 million Indonesians lack adequate nutrition. Restaurants, bakeries, and grocers discard edible surplus because no efficient, scalable marketplace exists. Merchants lose revenue and incur disposal costs, consumers miss affordable meals, and food insecurity persists. Existing solutions remain fragmented, donation only, or operationally difficult, leaving no merchant friendly platform that turns surplus food into economic & social value at scale.
Solution (product or service)
Good Again is an AI powered marketplace turning safe surplus food into discounted Surprise Bags. Consumers access quality meals at 40 to 80 percent off, while food businesses recover revenue from inventory that would otherwise be wasted. AI helps merchants create listings, set prices, bundle products, and select pickup times. Corporate sponsors fund CSR meals for underserved communities through trusted food bank partners with transparent impact reporting. By integrating existing delivery networks, Good Again remains asset light while scaling revenue, affordability, and impact.
Business model
Good Again is a two sided marketplace helping merchants recover value from surplus food while consumers access affordable meals. We charge merchants a 20 percent commission on each transaction. As we scale, recurring revenue will include AI analytics subscriptions for inventory, pricing, and waste reduction; commissions from logistics partners; and optional consumer subscriptions with exclusive deals and delivery benefits. For corporate sponsored meal campaigns under CSR and ESG programs, Good Again earns a 10 percent platform fee for donation matching, campaign management, & impact reporting.
