Current Status
Jona launched our initial product 9 months ago and our focus has been on feedback and product iteration rather than commercial traction. We're working with dozens of providers and signing up new ones each week. We recently signed a distribution deal with Emerson/Fullscript to distribute Jona to their ~100k provider network in the US and have several other large partnerships in the contracting phase.

70 million Americans suffer from gut health issues. Many of these individuals are turning to online testing, functional medicine, blogs, etc. to find the root cause and fix it. Although the gut microbiome plays a central role in gut health issues (and many more), both the data and the literature are extremely complex (2000+ papers published every month). Gut microbiome testing companies today are designed to sell supplements, rather than provide analysis or personalized actions.
Solution (product or service)
Jona's microbiome testing uses deep sequencing to identify all microbes down to a strain level. Then, Jona's custom AI system reads all of the scientific studies and matches your microbiome to every study ever published and identifies all symptoms, diseases and allergies. Jona's AI further analyzes the effect of all dietary, lifestyle and supplement choices on your microbiome with a digital twin. At the end, you have a full analysis of your health, linked to your microbiome, and a personal action plan to meet your own goals and address uncovered health issues.
Business model
We sell microbiomes tests + AI analysis on a cash pay model through a variety of cash pay provider channels such as longevity centers, concierge medicine, dieticians, health spas, gyms, functional medicine, integrated medicine, etc. As a secondary channel, we also sell directly to consumers.
