Based on scientific research, baeries is an AI-fueled tool and platform that enables users to enhance their self-awareness, interoception, and knowledge on a daily basis by observing the relationship between their behavioral patterns & their well-being, resulting in better decision making & goal management. It has an integrated knowledge library aiming to protect metacognition and enables people to gain a deeper insight into their own thoughts & emotions, allowing them to unravel limiting beliefs and live a more healthy, happy and conscious life.
Current Status
Our full-time work on baeries as a customer-oriented product started at the beginning of February this year. We conducted research through surveys, mainly amongst millennials, and built the first prototype version of a tool that has been used by a small sample size of individuals, who were tracking their fundamental variables and personalized goals, providing us with valuable feedback. Currently, we are enhancing our prototype while simultaneously building up our scientific knowledge library and building partnerships with health and mindfulness enthusiasts and scientists.

In the first stage, we explicitly target people who are already assessing health-related variables with high affinity & openness for health tech. Next, we address ed & health tech enthusiasts seeking tools to enhance performance, and individuals struggling to apply existing knowledge. Long-term, we aim to reach the vast majority within the realm of adaptive pragmatists & performers, finding great value in a tool that provides education, tracking, and decision-making assistance. Our expected SOM includes mainly North America & Europe, with a potential of ~10 mn to be reached in 5 years. This value is based on the market for mental health apps, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of 15.7% by 2030.

We live in a world of tremendous opportunities and immense access to information. Yet it seems that this fact especially comes with a lot of performance pressure. Attention and time are very rare goods. Multitasking became our common coping strategy, and we are juggling as many balls as possible every day to meet all our needs.
With baeries, we build a tool and platform that helps users protect cognitive resources and make better decisions in a world, in which fragmented attention has become our daily normal and imposes a severe threat to the development of capabilities that require deep focus. Our goal is to provide practical insights into modern science in an applicable manner and to strengthen individuals’ metacognition and self-awareness by enabling people to track and observe the changes in their own lives.
We aim to create a powerful movement and build tech that helps us to fight addictive patterns like mindless scrolling. While our economy is currently measured in "Time Spent on a Website/ Application" we pursue a paradigm change that can be best described as "Net Positive Contribution to Human Life". It is much harder to maintain self-awareness and engage in fulfilling activities and deep effort states when we find ourselves unbalanced physiologically, and how much easier we get distracted, internally and externally, ruminating about past or future events, entangling in reactive instead of reflective behaviors.

Based on our own experiences we founded baeries with the mission to provide practical insights into modern science in an applicable manner through an in-app knowledge library and to strengthen individuals metacognition and self-awareness by enabling people to track and observe the changes in their own lives. A correlation model will allow users to observe the relationship between behavioral patterns and well-being, and an AI algorithm for predictive analysis will support them in their decision-making.
Competitors
Our main competitors are established applications in the areas of well-being, mindfulness, self-improvement, integrative health, and journaling. Multiple applications exist aiming to increase well-being through a wide range of practical offerings and informative content on sleep, nutrition, and mental and physical fitness (e.g. Calm, Headspace, Waking up, Aura, Virtusan, Reveri). Furthermore, there are dedicated tracking apps (e.g. Habit Tracker, Hygiene Tracker, Climb, Daylio Journal, and Evernote) as well as iOS and Android integrated systems designed to log metrics such as the duration and quality of sleep, movement, and exercise, nutrition, hormones, etc.
Advantages or differentiators
What distinguishes baeries from existing applications is our correlation model to observe the relationship between behavioral patterns and well-being, our AI algorithm for predictive analysis to support decision making & our easily-understandable scientific knowledge library, which also gives people a voice to share educational high-quality content in a specific and short format.
Finance
Our revenue streams will be two-folded: On the one hand, we will implement a subscription model, thereby securing monthly payments from the users of our app. On the other hand, we will use third-party in-app ads in the free version to generate additional revenue streams. Once the app will be fully functional, we expect revenues to reach ~100 - 200 million USD. These estimates are based on market research in the realm of health and wellness applications, showing an increasing trend in customer interest and spending for app-based health services.
Business model
As described above, our business is based on a subscription/freemium model. To address our target group, we use social media marketing activities, public events, educational institutions, and free-trial promotions.
Money will be spent on
In a first step money will be spent on app and software development (incl. UX/UI, writing code, setting up data models) with the goal of publishing it to the Apple/Android App Stores.
Offer for investor
We have calculated to dilute our equity share in order to get external investors on board. The amount depends on the value offered by the investor.
Potential risks center around the behavior of existing competitors as well as the development of new technologies.
First, existing competitors, which to date do not cover the particular features of baeries, might advance their services.
Second, as the development of new technologies progresses and AI functionalities are further improving, new players (especially tech companies) might enter the market with even more advanced features.
