Our recent market research in rural Rwanda revealed that there are 13 million people living there, with 80 percent of them residing in rural areas. Problem or Opportunity

The pharmaceutical supply chain in Africa is underperforming, traditional, and fragmented. In general, very limited use of technology, the infiltration of counterfeit medicines into the supply chain, prices become highly unpredictable, inaccessible of affordable medications

Solution (product or service)

Due to the problems with the African pharmaceutical supply chain,
We decided to start Afiapharma in order to bring about a revolution .
Afiapharma, a fully licensed online pharmacy (Pharmaceutical E-commerce),
that is democratizing access to authenticated, affordable prescription and
over-the-counter (OTC) medications for more patients by upgrading the pharmacy user experience.

Competitors

In Rwanda, Kasha is a competitor of ours; the difference between us is that Kasha focuses on hygiene products like pads and other similar items.

Retail pharmacies are another competitor, and they charge exorbitant prices and don't offer home delivery.

Advantages or differentiators

In terms of value proposition, with our solution, we can provide last-mile delivery to remote areas where no one else travels, we have been breaking down pricing by offering 20 percent cost savings over traditional pharmacies, and private deliveries to meet patients' privacy needs.

Finance

We use a sales revenue model

Cost structure
* Cost of Goods Sold : % 70
* Marketing : % 10 with a customer acquisition cost of $1.9
* Profit : % 20

Business model

We are a B2C and B2B Market place platform and earn 20% on each sale.

With a customer acquisition cost client of $1.9, we typically spend a lot of time into our SEO strategies, which helps us increase our PPC efforts on Facebook, Instagram, and Google AdWords.
Since they have significant patient bases that we want to target, clinics and hospitals are my go-to partnerships when it comes to offline marketing.
