Why are airport ground operations so manual and dependent on human error? We are building solutions to real $B problems to address labor shortages and costly incidents in airport ground operations.
Current Status
We have landed 9 users in less than 12 months and also $280k of orders. We are on track for $500k of revenue for 2022. We have some big names in the industry using us, and we are only getting started. From our first 9 users eventual demand is over 100 units, allowing us a path to scale our first product into millions of revenue.
Problem or Opportunity
The lack of technology in airport ground operations means the industry is dependent on an unstable labor force, and is also reliant on human error to move multi million dollar assets. This results in $10B of damages of avoidable incidents where aircraft collide with other aircraft, ground equipment, or infrastructure while being moved on the ground, not to mention countless other delays due to lack of staff or equipment.
Solution (product or service)
A LiDAR based collision warning system that is portable and standalone. It plugs onto the tug that is moving the aircraft, and our software tracks the movement, giving real time warnings to the drivers if a potential collision is spotted by the system. This is our first step of building automation for aircraft ground movements as well as other assets being moved on the airfield automatically.
Business model
We currently have direct sales of our HW/SW tool for collision warning. We will build SW sales to our platform for analytics and other functions, which will also build MRR over time.
