Zario is a digital wellbeing platform that helps people live a digitally balanced life by reducing and replacing their undesired screen-time and cultivating healthy habits.
The app has been voted the #1 app of the day, #5 app of the week on ProductHunt.com and reached 7’000 downloads and 200 daily active users since then. Our concept has been approved by several leading experts in the field (Nir Eyal, LSE, UZH). We’ve successfully
completed stage 2 of venture kick and have soft commitments for 100k+ pre-seed investments.
Problem or Opportunity
With the world’s smartest psychologists paid to keep you on your phone and looking at ads, it’s no wonder generations Y and Z spend 7 hours a day on their phones. 70% of phone users feel they spend too much time on their phone, and 35% take steps to reduce screen time.
Solution (product or service)
Zario combines psychology and gamification into daily challenges to help users get off the phone and on with their life. Users receive daily challenges of two types:
• Reduce challenges help them understand and change their digital habits (identifying internal and external triggers, setting goals…)
• Replace challenges help find engaging alternatives to mindless scrolling (divided into 9 different categories based on users’ interest and motivation)
We are currently building a new feature - the circuit breaker, that will interrupt the automatism of opening distracting apps.
Zario’s business model is built with the foundation to attract two main revenue streams, B2C and B2B2C, through the following market opportunities: direct subscriptions, health insurance
paid therapy, employer-funded help for employees and affiliate marketing.
