To unlock a $1Bn space manufacturing market, G-SPACE’s ATOM™, an AI-powered SaaS platform, designs without gravity here, on Earth, products with market traction for 10X reduction in time and costs.
Current Status
To date G-SPACE has received ~$400k in NSF and NASA SBIR grants to support its initial R&D and product development efforts. There is also a $1M phase II in the pipeline We are engaged with most of the big players developing the next commercial platforms in low earth orbit such as Axiom, Blue Origin, Voyager Space, Nanoracks, Varda Space. In fact we have positive feedback from all of them, closed 2 customers while developing over 32 additional business opportunities in our customer pipeline such as Mercury, Blue Origin, Airbus, Thales Alenia Space, etc
Problem or Opportunity
Manufacturing products in space holds promise due to microgravity opening the door to unique physics that can lead to unprecedented performance. With today’s increased frequency and lower cost to orbit, in-space manufacturing is the next $Bn opportunity. The problem is that efforts continue to focus on capitalizing on microgravity R*D or scaling up manufacturing without understanding of product, manufacturing envelope and market traction. The status quo is trial error in space which is expensive and ineffective. E.G., after 7 years of funded efforts no ZBLAN space fiber has been sold.
Solution (product or service)
G-SPACE offers ATOM(e), a patented AI-powered terrestrial platform for the design and optimization of products without the gravitational force to reduce the time and costs by a factor of 10X. Our proprietary data science and physics models algorithms determine delta-to-gravity™from terrestrial levitation data acquired through our hardware GEMS (Gravity Elimination via Methods of Suspensions) or existing microgravity data to design the microgravity product and its corresponding in-space manufacturing technique while prioritizing, based on market traction and application needs.
Business model
G-SPACE is a B2B company and its business model relies on selling software subscriptions to the 4 ATOM modules that can be purchased individually or together for an average price of $250k. Customers may buy one or multiple licenses and use one or all the modules for which they can choose the needed functionalities in a “pay-per-play” manner. Pricing is based on pre-paid monthly usage fee with a min quantity of 3 months. Further extension is on a monthly basis. In addition, G-SPACE will later also capitalize on royalties and value pricing to drive its revenue above the $100MM.
