Idea

"Sohopathi" is the first social learning platform in Bangladesh connecting high school students with their best fit educators.

Current Status

Sohopathi- has already built a community of over 400,000 learners and educators. In 2021, we had completed over 50,000 paid learning hours, with a 30% monthly growth rate. We have almost 75% monthly retention in our platform, which ensures a very healthy LTV-CAC Ratio. Currently, our Customer Life Time Value (LTV) is around 35 Dollars and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is only 4 Dollars. We are projecting to hit 60,000 USD Monthly Recurring Revenue by end of 2022.

Problem or Opportunity

There are more than 20 million students in Bangladesh at high school level. For every 100 student, only 20 get into colleges and from there, only 7 qualify for universities. One of the top 3 reasons for such a low conversion, is the 1:60 teacher-student ratio in schools. As a result, a $2 Billion market for after school teaching is created, growing at 20% per year with the increasing income of middle class. Sohopathi- solves this huge crisis of teachers by creating a social learning platform for teachers and students.

Solution (product or service)

Sohopathi- helps high school students excel in public and university admission exams by providing access to best teachers across the country. Using our social platform, educators from anywhere can share free learning contents and launch their own paid courses. On the student side, we have a AI based recommendation system that suggest students with the most suitable contents and educators, best fit for their learning style. The students can openly interact and follow any educator within the platform, enabling each educator to build and serve a huge fanbase.

Business model

Our business model is pretty simple. Educators from anywhere can launch paid courses in our platform. Students can study 1-1 or in batches. The 1-1 courses is completely based on live sessions. The batch based courses are run on a hybrid model (Recorded + Live Sessions). For the 1-1 courses, we charge 20% commission on each of the sessions, where the average hourly session fee is around 5 dollars. On the other hand, for the batch based hybrid courses, we take 60% of the course subscription fee, where the average subscription fee is around 40 dollars.
