Idea

Science-based methodology that most accurately calculates nutrient density in our foods presented with a simple, color coded number. It’s like Credit Scores for Food.

Current Status

We already have an MVP but due to our stealthy mode to date we are not on the market yet.

Market

Given the current and GLOBAL Obesity epidemic and grossly unhealthy lifestyles in the developed world the TAM (Total Addressable Market) is well over 550M for only 3 languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Initially, we plan to focus on US/Canada and expand onward in our second year of operations.

Problem or Opportunity

Though there are some FDA-mandated guidelines for packaged and restaurant foods they are minimal at best and very complex to implement and manage. In addition, there is no such information for home-cooked meals making it almost impossible to evaluate the nutrient density of our foods.

Solution (product or service)

Give consumers simple yet accurate tools to measure the nutrient quality and density so they make better choices about the foods they consume.

Nutrient Quotient (NuQ™) is a science-based methodology that most accurately measures the nutrient density in our food presented by simple NuQ Scores. It’s like Credit Scores for Food.

Competitors

To clarify, our solution is an Industry FIRST!!!! and there is nothing like it on the market currently.

However, there are numerous mobile calorie counting apps masquerading as healthy food recommendation including My Fitness Pal, Calorie Mama, Weight Watchers, etc.

Advantages or differentiators

NuQ is a brand new cross-disciplinary methodology that simplifies complexities associated with calculating accurate nutrient density of our foods. It has taken us over 3yrs to create our solution, which combines detailed nutrition knowledge, deep tech expertise and uncommon math skills.

Our key advantage is the aforementioned expertise, which is not easily duplicated.

Finance

We envision 4 separate revenue streams;

1.Subscription fees ($2.99/month) via SaaS based model;
2. Contextual advertising (health and nutrition-related adds);
3. Revenues via high-grade supplements recommendations based on a person's individual NuQ Scores and their respective nutrient deficiencies;
4. Eventually (second year) a B2B model.

The cost structure is minimal (incremental) due to our ability to share the information with multiple constituencies without additional costs.

Business model

It starts as a Freemium but it evolves into a SaaS-based model we call NaaS (Nutients-as-a-Service) for consumers who want to establish their personalized NuQ Score so they can actively manage the quality of their foods.

Money will be spent on

To finalize voice-activate UX and deploy it across numerous wearables.

Offer for investor

Minimum of $25K at a 20% discount over Series "A" investors.

Risks

They are minimal. Our experience is that it takes 3 factors to mitigate risks:

1. Technology (in the process of filing multiple patents);
2. Team - Seasoned veterans with over 120yrs of combined experience;
3. Timing - The focus on healthy lifestyle is reaching its crescendo moment

Incubation/Acceleration programs accomplishment

Given our experience and expertise we did not see the need for these types of programs.

Due to our stealthy mode we have not entered any to date.

Invention/Patent

In the process of filing several fundamental patents and have numerous trade secrets at our disposal.
