Bugaddy is AR / VR digital assistant helping autistic children to socialise. This provides an opportunity for autistic individuals to acquaint with social situations in safe, accustomed environment.
Current Status
Operational beta test version of Bugaddy App listed in AppStore and Play Market. Fully developed version of Bugaddy App shall be available in next 30 days (finalisation of the coding). Within 6 months of development we have reached 110’000 followers on social media, more than 800 downloads and around 200 subscription sales (in the absence of finalised product and any marketing activities). Industry experts are contacting us to commence cooperation.
Problem or Opportunity
Autism cannot be cured. The only thing that can be done - is socialisation of autistic individual. Such socialisation is currently done in day care physical centres by therapists and clinical psychologists who are instructing autistic individuals (inter alia) how to overcome everyday challenges: (1) how to wash hands, (2) how to dress up according to the weather, (3) how to visit hairdresser, (4) etc. Even if autistic person visits the therapist for an hour a day, the rest of 23 hours such person is without the assistance. App solves the absence of such socialisation in those remaining 23h.
Solution (product or service)
We animate exact social stories as cartoons which can be accessed 24/7 by the user in 3D mode and in AR / VR mode. The App does the same as the therapist would do while explaining any of social stories. An example: after the child has acquainted with 3D explanatory cartoon of actions done while Bugaddy is visiting hairdresser, relevant child can switch to AR / VR mode of the App and create whole hairdresser soon at home where he can participate in relevant environment and actions done in hairdresser saloon. When the child visits real hairdresser, he is already accustomed to relevant processes.
Business model
It is freemium model. There is monthly subscription price for the Bugaddy App. We anticipate to have several tariff plans starting from EUR 2 per month up to EUR 99 per month. This is highly competitive in comparison to costs of physical therapist or clinical psychologist costs of which variate from EUR 50 per hour (!) to EUR 150 per hour.
