Current Status
Live and operational
Market
Currently it’s everyone in the age group of 18-45 basically, who’s enjoying video entertainment.
Problem or Opportunity
We’re looking to increase our team to implement more main features faster like for instance add VOD, recording and various other functions to get our platform ahead of the game. We're looking to stay ahead of the game and be the first in many areas like 360 degrees, 4K and an extensive Netflix-like VOD area, but then in a single place. The idea of becoming the single place where people will turn to if they want to watch either Live or VOD, regardless of country or origin.
Solution (product or service)
By creating a platform that’s appealing to everyone, because all the content and types of content you want to see are there, there's a huge market to gain because it's very scattered currently.
Competitors
At this moment mostly Magine in Germany and Zattoo in Switzerland. TV.de, TVplayer.co.uk and Molotov have free alternatives with a much more limited line-up. They mostly have only some local channels whilst M2M TV has a line-up with channels from all across the world.
Advantages or differentiators
M2M TV is more appealing than most others because TV channels can set their own pricing. For customers it’s more appealing since we have channels from all across the globe. Also with channels that are not available in many countries. Our platform is doing something good, because we have several huge players (i.e. Huawei and Ericsson) who’re interested in working with us.
Finance
€5,99 basis plus additional channel sales, ranging from €0,15 to €20 per channel. We’re expecting around 300.00 subscribers by the end of 2018.
Business model
Customers pay a monthly fee for a basic subscription which comes with an amount of free channels. On top of that, they can select additional channels for an additional pricing, based on an a la carte model, so on a per channel (or small package) basis. In the near future, we’ll add VOD, with all sorts of subscription models, one-off renting, pay-per-view and more.
Money will be spent on
Additional development/developers, marketing and branding
The risks are on the low side. We chose a model with low costs and only increasing costs when the amount of subscribers rises (who’ll bring in the profit). There’s always the possibility for one of the big players (i.e. Amazon, Apple, Google, FaceBook) that will do the same thing on a worldwide scale with their billions behind it. Another risk is that most of the important channels will not come on board, keeping our service on the lower end in amounts of customers.
