Idea

Enyi-CareCompanion is an AI powered dementia care app that engages patients via conversations, monitors early signs of distress and alerts caregivers only when needed, giving them much needed respite

Current Status

We have developed a minimum viable product (MVP) and are preparing to begin actual customer testing in May. The MVP incorporates core features, including AI-driven distress detection, personalized avatars, and caregiver alert functionality. Early engagement with families and care partners has informed product design and usability, and upcoming pilot testing will validate effectiveness and gather real-world feedback.

Problem or Opportunity

Enyi CareCompanion addresses a critical gap in dementia and long-term care: the lack of continuous, in-home support that protects both the patient and the caregiver.
Today, families are forced to choose between constant supervision or leaving their loved one alone, often leading to caregiver burnout, patient isolation, and avoidable medical crises. Caregivers rarely get meaningful respite, patients spend long hours without engagement or monitoring, and early signs of distress or decline often go unnoticed until they escalate into costly hospitalizations.

Solution (product or service)

Enyi CareCompanion provides continuous in-home support for individuals with dementia, engaging them with avatars of family members while monitoring for risks like agitation, wandering, or health decline. Real-time alerts give caregivers peace of mind, reduce burnout and give them respite and help reduce hospitalizations because of emergencies

Business model

Enyi CareCompanion generates revenue by partnering with multiple channels in the senior care ecosystem. Primary customers include PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) facilities such as Onlok and WelbeHealth, home care and care management providers, and state or federal agencies administering Medicaid and Medicare programs. The platform is also available direct-to-consumer for families seeking in-home support. Revenue comes from subscription fees, institutional contracts, and government reimbursements.
