Layer Z is an AI sales assistant that maps subtle, unseen customer signals to define intent. Deploys rapidly (Z-axis overlay on any webpage) to drive intimacy, satisfaction, & conversion.
Current Status
The Layer Z product is complete and able to be deployed.
We have a demo website where this can be observed
Engaged in launch roll out, focused on direct channel, with network contacts.
In direct dialogue with 5 Medium to large size potentials
Total of >40 potentials identified.
Initial markets Switzerland, France, and UK
Initial focus on ecommerce and high value
Market
The global Digital Experience Market (DXP) is currently growing at a CAGR of 16% and expected to reach $5.9b by the end of 2028 (Gartner). The number of companies aiming to invest in DXP/AI is expected to rise to 70% by 2026.
By the end of 2026 Gen Z will represent the biggest consumer demographic. More than 77% of Gen Z expect immediate responses. Therefore we believe that Layer Z is not a nice to have but will become essential to meet the expectations of the fastest growing and most important customer demographic.
Our GTM will focus on general ecommerce and as we gain confidence and capability we will pivot to luxury goods, where we see a strong alignment between client / customer need / expectation and Layer Z
A tiered approach to customer acquisition is in place balancing longer sales cycles for high value clients with shorter and more dynamic cycles for SME clients
Problem or Opportunity
when discussing with marketers in a range of ecommerce companies all comment that they are not able to connect real time and live with customers. It is possible to detect interest but this is in analytics. And when possible live the only action is to change the website (highly pre-defined) and mostly done by Dev team.
Being able to interact in real time with customers was commented as highly desirable, and being able to own and change the interactions would be a significant step forward.
Solution (product or service)
Detection of real time browsing activity and then using the collected data in a live website environment, to identify interest, refine and define intent. Live interaction is achieved using visuals or GenAI; we have implemented both. For companies that prefer to use their own AI/LLM, we can facilitate this. And because our product is highly intuitive clients can quickly create and deploy using our AI supported no code dashboard. Our interactions all occur over the webpage and not in it, hence the rapid deployment and no need for technical resources.
Competitors
We do have competitors and rather large ones, however they operate in and focus on a different value proposition to Layer Z. Adobe, Oracle and Salesforce are the top tier and offer AI agents, plus a host of other features. However they have very complex structures, and do not offer the agility and speed, together with the customer intimacy that Layer Z delivers. Smaller competitors such as AB Tasty, Optimizely, Piano and others are more agile, offer AI agents but are stuck in the previous personalisation paradigm. Everyone is our competitor and everyone is a potential partner!
Advantages or differentiators
Layer Z enables clients to detect customer interest and act on that interest in the live session. This enables a warm introduction as it is in context and based on exactly what the customer is interested in. This differs fr om many other platforms wh ere the live interest is not easily incorporated into the live journey.
Layer Z is rapidly installed with only 3 lines of code added to the website. From this point clients can use the product. Unlike competitors Layer Z acts on the Z-axis, above the website. Layer Z is AI enabled for rapid deployment and change, plus we will never break a client website! The intuitive dashboard enables rapid adoption and as we enable marketing departments to control their digital assets, AI drives the creation of the interactive panels to ensure that a professional look is achieved. Branding and corporate guides can be uploaded to ensure a consistent corporate brand image.
Finance
We have not yet signed contracts but are pushing and promoting hard to do so.
The business model is a SaaS business, with monthly , quarterly or annual subscription. Revenue is based on a mixed consumption, deployment model as AI agents require data / tokens. We have planned for 3 Tiers, and plan to sell those based on several break points. The typical difference being number of customer impressions and AI agents deployed, we will also upsell for language variants.
While most clients will be satisfied with our out of the box solution, we will offer a custom service, and provide a consulting (full service) offer for large clients.
We expect to achieve a $4.5m ARR within the next 3 years.
Business model
The business model is SaaS subscription. Channels will include direct, indirect sales and a consulting channel. The product is built for collaboration and can connect to any of the current large CRM, CMS and personalisation platforms currently available.
We will track sales, sales value, retention, upsell, custom features such as basic business metrics along with utilisation, uptime, a range of cloud performance metrics and costs.
Money will be spent on
The funds will be allocated as follows:
Bring the 3rd partner on to the payroll full time (currently part time)
Formal Layer Z roll out and launch (currently soft launched)
Implement consulting channel
Hire additional staff (Tech (1FTE), Sales (1.5FTE), Ops (0.5FTE))
Innosuisse submission (inc. advisor), next gen AI.
(Innosuisse match company funding)
Offer for investor
We have valued the company at a conservative CHF3.5m pre-money and post money CHF4.0m. We are looking for a CHF500k ($600k) investment, that will be an ownership of 12.5% of the company and importantly the cornerstone external investor. Ideally we are looking for an individual or individuals (no more than 2 investors), that will join the company as not only shareholders but also bring a valued network either in ecommerce or luxury goods. Or an adjacent market where they have significant knowledge and can kick start a new channel or segment. We target an ARR of CHF4.5m, in 3 years.
There are several risks.
Competitors may try to copy Layer Z.
Clients may not wish to adopt new technology.
Layer Z will need to evolve and adapt to emerging tech
The company may need to raise funds in the future to continue its growth
Additional staff will be required.
