Problem or Opportunity
A regular blood test is the Standard of Care for most health quadrants. Individuals, regardless of gender, will only have a blood test when required. This is either driven by a symptom/health concern or a routine exam. Routine blood tests today may cover General & Metabolic Health, however testing for most hormones and STIs is triggered by the appearance of a symptom or a concern. Depending on the supportive healthcare system, a blood test may be prohibitive in cost, access or time commitment. This often results in delayed diagnosis, which greatly impacts one's health.
Solution (product or service)
Truelli is developing a menstrual pad that allows access to an in-home monthly ‘blood test’ to all menstruating women. Truelli’s pad is supported by an application that allows women to view results in real time, whilst continuously monitoring critical aspects of their health. The technology layer of our proprietary pad is designed to work specifically with menstrual blood, a neglected waste product which we have found to be rich in information that can facilitate a proactive and preventative healthcare ecosystem for women.
Business model
Our model is B2B2C. Truelli is focused on manufacturing and selling its technology layer to existing hygiene brands. This will also be followed by:
1- Monthly subscription to maintain usage of our mobile application,
2- Annual IP licensing per region, and
3- Penalties, if monthly sales fall under certain margins.
