Idea

PEROVSKIA is a Swiss cleantech startup that provides customizable solar cells to OEMs. Our vision is to enable a solar cell on every device. Our cells operate efficiently even in low light conditions.

Current Status

We have a strong pipeline of marquee clients including market-leading OEMs, with price inquiries exceeding 5M solar cells from different market segments. We launched the first fully solar-powered consumer electronic device for our customers in 2021 and have three revenue-generating customers.

Problem or Opportunity

The ever-increasing electronic devices ecosystem is impaired by limited battery life that translates to charging fatigue for end-users, inhibits new features, and slows
down consumer adoption. The market need for solar-powered solutions is increasing. However, mainstream silicon solar cells available today are very rigid in form
factor and lacks product integration. Also, they do not provide enough power in low light conditions to satisfy many applications & industry needs.

Solution (product or service)

Our solar technology enables complete freedom to design solar cells. Perovskia (patent-filed) offers a unique digital printing technology to fabricate solar cells in any
shape and size to perfectly fit a broad range of electronic devices. The inventive cost-efficient & green production process yields solar cells with high low light
performance like in homes & offices. We offer custom solar cells to OEMs and help them integrate the solar cells into their electronic, IoT, & sensor devices.

Business model

As a B2B supplier, we focus on direct sales. In the first 2-3 years our focus is on high-margin integration sensitive products. We have a list of OEMs with whom we can contact directly and develop sales relationships.
