Problem or Opportunity

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the trend of remote working and recruitment has gained momentum. Organizations are practicing social distance but cannot afford work to come at a pause. Therefore, many companies globally have asked their employees to work from home and for some employers to seek employee profiles online to help in their staff search. At the same time, other companies that have been hurt financially by the pandemic have ceased physical operations and have shifted to the remote mode of operations to minimize their expenses.

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY
STAFFING INDUSTRY
The global Staffing industry is currently a $427 billion industry. Domestically, the U.S. recruiting industry is
expected to generate $165. The industry is projected to remain on the rise throughout the next ten years. This industry faces new challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and continuing technological disruption drives a greater need for online recruitments to replace the existing physical hiring model.

ONLINE RECRUITMENT MARKET
The global online recruitment market size was valued at USD 28.68 Billion in 2019 and is projected to reach USD 43.39 Billion by 2027, exhibiting a solid CAGR of 7.1% during the forecast period. Due to the growing trend of technology adaptation and the convenience offered by IT-based services, the online recruiting market is ready to witness a massive surge in reception from the general public in the coming years.

GRANTS CITY CANNABIS CONTRACT
A Grants-based company has agreed with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to grow marijuana for research purposes at a $300 million “agricultural ecosystem” facility the company plans to build in Cibola County. Due to this, extensive employment activity is expected on a regional level. The construction of several facilities has been planned. The first structure would cover 15 acres, or more than
600,000 square feet, on a 20-acre plot and would be completed in nine months. Four months into construction of the first building, work would start on a second building on 50 acres and then a third building, also on 50 acres. Both would take 18 months to build. Overall, boosting the economic activity at the regional level while
increasing employment opportunities.
