D3golf is a “real-world e-gaming” golf app that allows skill based wagering on side games and bets. Uniquely, players can wager up to 50,000 players REMOTELY - on different courses and times!
Current Status
We started creating revenue in September 2021 at the end of the golf season. To date we have had $7000 in revenue, form our firs 900+ registration, but this was actually higher than forecast as we did no marketing. Revenue wound down as season ended. Extensive marketing and significant revenue is targeted for full 2022 season and we forecast 30,000 plus players .
Problem or Opportunity
D3 Golf started out in 2018 as a challenge between friends to build an app to keep track of their regular golf side game they called Dollar Dollar Dollar. Until one day, they realized they were both playing golf with different people at different courses and couldn’t keep the bet going. That realization sparked the idea that has grown from a simple bet tracking app to a full on peer-to-peer golf wagering platform like nothing else.
D3Golf is the FIRST and ONLY mobile app for monetary side games on your local golf course or REMOTELY with players and Celebrities around the world!
Solution (product or service)
As a solution to the problem we invented the ability for players to wager from 2 to 144 players locally in real-time – AND up to 10 friends remotely - on different courses, at different times. We also invented the “Challenge Index” to help discourage cheating and encourage more game play. Our singular app levels the different playing fields … and is USGA approved. The power of our technology also allowed us to create the only platform for D3 Golf Celebrity Challenges where thousands can play in a remote event!
Business model
We have identified 10 different revenue models. We have started with three. We charge an admin 5% fee on any winnings received by a player. We also take 1% on all credit card transactions. And we take a 5% admin fee when a player cashes out using our exclusive and legal Winning Card redemption system.
