Idea

We are the "Blinkist for parents". We source parenting content from the world top experts, boil it down to the essence and create short audio formats that make parenting easier.

Parents can listen to our audio content via a web-based platform. We have audio courses, individual inputs and inspirations. All sessions are bite-size, so parents can easily listen to them as part of their daily routines.

Current Status

Problem or Opportunity

We asked over 1,500 parents and 75 percent find family life challenging.
80 percent of parents are actively looking for parenting support. But parents don’t have time to read books, take online classes or go to seminars.

At the same time, audio content is gaining traction in many spaces (Blinkist = knowledge, Headspace/Calm = meditation, femtasy = erotic content for women). We are building the app for parents to rely on when raising their kids.

Our solution: FamilyPunk is the digital coach for busy parents. We source parenting content from the world top experts, boil it down to the essence and create short audio formats. In our audio format, we provide parents with knowledge, strategies and a positive mindset to raise their kids.

We offer our content on a web-based platform. We have audio courses, individual inputs and inspirations. All Sessions are bite-size, so parents can easily listen to them as part of their daily routines.

Competitors

The competition in ParentTech is focused more on community-building or baby and child content (e.g. community: Momunity, mello, barrio // baby and child content: kinedu, babycenter, keleya).

We focus on content for the parents. Our secret sauce is content “to-go” that changes parenting habits sustainably and makes families happier.

Alternatives to FamilyPunk are blogs, books, online magazines and podcasts on parenting.

Finance

Revenue stream 1: B2C subscription for our audio content (comparable to most other content start-ups).
Future second revenue stream: revenue from 1:1 virtual coaching (via telephone/video conference) offered by FamilyPunk parenting coaches.

11,90€ per month for a monthly subscription
8,90€ per month for a quarterly subscription, paid on a quarterly basis
5,90€ per month for an annual subscription, paid on an annual basis

Current business model: focus on B2C subscription for the content-
Future: expansion to include B2C pay-per-coaching (delivered by parenting coaches).

Channels: focus on online channels such as social paid and influencer marketing plus referral in the future.
