Idea

Entire Digital is a data-driven company that provides tailored technology for publishers, media outlets and every business online, using a proprietary system of AI that helps content development identifying trends (hybrid production model of machine learning and contributors from all over the world). Entire Digital’s solution is powered by the same technology: proprietary media outlets and data-driven content in SaaS.
The company will sell its technological solution in SaaS internationally.

Current Status

Entire Digital reaches the goal of connecting millions of people around the world as quickly as possible thanks to technology and low costs. This unique technological model can be exported without adding costs and provided for publishing companies. Entire Digital’s intuition was to understand that a potential market exists and it can be bigger than now.
Thanks to data driven approach, Entire Digital was enabled to climb in its proof of concept rapidly: tested in Italy and France, now it is ready to open in other countries (recently started in Spain and UK).
Microsoft and Yahoo! were the two first clients that used our technology.

Market

Entire Digital addresses its services to Internet users, since 92% of people search for news on the web. It is an ever-expanding market that will grow with the increase in internet usage. Entire Digital leads a great revolution for the population of readers in the world. But not only for readers, also for companies and every business online and their content needs.
Entire Digital believes that software development and innovation are shaping the future, and, for this reason, it is intent on selling its SaaS technology to companies having a decisive publishing demand: in effect, many of the companies that do business online are publishing enterprises, but not only to them. Every company that needs content for their business is a potential client and customer.

Problem or Opportunity

Digital publishing has stalled for the past 20 years. With the introduction of the internet at the end of the 90’s, there was a revolution in the sector but then innovation stopped.
- Inefficacy at the front-end level: Users are constantly bombarded uninteresting contents that often does not match their preferences. The situation is worsened by the fact that traditional publishing companies have been dedicating very little efforts to improve user experience, which turns out to be very dissatisfactory.
- Inefficiency at the back-end level: News selection and consequent content production, as well as all other processes in the publishing industry, is still driven on human control, rather than relying on relevant data.

Solution (product or service)

Entire Digital’s solution is powered by the same technology: proprietary media outlets and data-driven content in SaaS.
Entire Digital’s machine-learning algorithm provides tailor-made content at the right time for every type of user, making their search easier and faster. It uses proprietary technology and modern data metrics to test, learn, and optimize continuously to better serve its audience.
AI is applied to each phase: content discovery, content production and content recommendation.
1. Content/trend discovery: The system detects peaks of research and already online content based on subjects linked to some topic, following trends.
AI processes all the information on the web, operating a research and selection of relevant content from data, social networks and Google (news gathering), following specific parameters set by humans: authority of the source; veracity of the source (websites and online publishers which are part of the notions of credibility and transparency according to national and international rankings); neutrality and impartiality of the source.
2. Content production: Content creation is based on crowdsourcing through a proprietary platform with contributors from all over the world and NLG. Evaluation is internal -by the team- and based on users’ feedback who evaluate the article according to specific parameters, first of all the clear form of information.
Each content creator is in charge of content relevant to his inclinations and talents, in order to provide the best article according to trends. They are creators throughout the national and international territory to promote the plurality of information from around the world.
An automatic text generation system (Natural Language Generation) -able to gather data from the most authoritative sources (data, social, Google) on the subject- is added to this technological system for certain categories (for example, sport or finance, or biographies about actuality).
AI system, therefore, does not just select the most authoritative source, but it is able also to guarantee the highest quality level of information through a system of Natural Language Processing that approves content according to specific syntactic and semantic rules and test it through metadata and data sets examination, in order to identify the geographical location and the first person who posted it online and verify the veracity and expose misinformation and propaganda online, if needed.
3. Content recommendation: Entire Digital is testing the same model as Netflix, Amazon, Spotify for the news. The intent is to suggest the right news to the right user just following the online navigation of the user. The algorithm studies the history of the user, suggesting new content according to their dispositions and likes.
The company will sell its technological solution in SaaS internationally.

Competitors

Minute Media (US media and technology brand focused on two main pillars—media outlet and content sale) is the main competitor.
Minute Media’s platform serves as the company’s foundation, powering its content as well as enabling the evolution of other market-leading digital media brands.
Currently, Minute Media owns and operates five media brands powered by its proprietary technology platform including 90min, DBLTAP, 12up and its two recently acquired brands—Mental Floss and The Big Lead. It is focused on sport, in particular, and favours the use of the English language for its media outlets.

Advantages or differentiators

Minute media is the main competitor of Entire Digital because it has two similar lines of business. Nevertheless, Entire Digital presents itself as a multilingual platform that handles a huge amount of data through its AI technology. Furthermore, Entire Digital is mass market: in fact, its products are addressed to an enormous audience of users from all over the world.

Business model

Entire Digital is opening in 8 different countries by 2023 and is intended to continue its globalization strategy, hiring country managers who can trigger new implementations into specific international markets.
After testing its editorial properties, Entire Digital will provide its technology in SaaS, thus making it easier for companies to publish on different platforms, including apps, websites, newsletters and social media.
