We make the only solar smart blinds that generate electricity and pay for themselves. Installed on just a third of a home's windows, our solar smart blinds can cover up to 70% of an average home's electricity needs.
We are looking for investors and strategic partners who are passionate about IoT and clean tech to partner on the road to becoming a household name.
Current Status
We have a MVP which attracted more than $175K organic B2C sales in just 5 months. We are in transition to B2B sales and already have RFQ from businesses for $6M since May 2017, as well as signed distributors in 30 countries.
Currently, we are ramping up production and already shipped first samples of our product last week. Already in 2018, we are planning to produce close to 50,000 of ft2 of SolarGaps resulting in gross profit of $2,711,400. To meet our production goal by 2022, we will open new production facilities in Asia and North America.
We have a widespread media coverage and 13M viral video views on Facebook with over 122k shares; articles in TechCrunch, CNET, Tech.co, architecture blogs.
Problem or Opportunity
Every year, America spends $12B on residential energy.
Installed on just a third of a home's windows, our solar smart blinds can cover up to 70% of an average home's electricity needs.
Solution (product or service)
We are the first to combine solar technology and automated blinds. Solar is a natural fit for this technology, because our blinds track the sun throughout the day providing two key benefits: 1) protecting your windows from the excess sunlight and 2) helping you to save on your energy bills up to 70%.
Competitors
We are the first in category. Even though we have no direct competition, we compete with rooftop solar solutions such as SolarCity, MiaSole, and SunPower distributors.
Advantages or differentiators
Being first in category is our major advantage. Unlike stationary roof top solar panels, the sun tracking feature of our smart blinds allows them to generate maximum amount of electricity at each point throughout the day. Also, unlike other smart blinds which may generate only enough electricity to power the motor, SolarGaps generates enough electricity to power your devices, thus helping you to save money on energy bills.
