AirSafe.ai is revolutionizing drone operations by making long-distance flights possible, safe and affordable. We replace multiple human observers with an onboard AI system.
Current Status
We closed a paid pilot with Connect Robotics in Portugal, and we are integrating our technology in two different models of drones, one for drone delivery and another for inspection.
We will start testing and validation to present to the regulators, to obtain European authorization, in the next quarter.
In the next quarter, we have planned integration with a drone manufacturer in the US (Blueflight), which will connect us to the American regulator (FAA), so we can certify to the US market.
Problem or Opportunity
The critical bottleneck hindering widespread drone adoption for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations is the regulatory concern surrounding air collisions with non-cooperative aircraft. This is being “solved” by the need for human Airspace Observers (AOs) at short intervals (around 2 miles) on the ground, to look up and scan for threats, or very expensive infrastructures, only possible in limited areas. This requirement renders autonomous transportation, deliveries, long-range inspections, security operations, and many others prohibitively expensive and logistically impractical.
Solution (product or service)
AirSafe.Ai unlocks the drone industry by providing a drone-agnostic AI-based DAA module that runs onboard the drone, replacing human observers or local infrastructure, enabling scalable beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations. Our systems with off-the-shelf computers that combine cameras, microphones, and ADS-B receivers ensure reliable detection, using mixed technology, facilitating flight authorizations, and enabling unlimited range. This breakthrough unlocks truly unattended flights, reducing costs and driving efficiency. AirSafe.ai is making drone operations safer and more viable.
Business model
We work on a SaaS model, with an annual subscription of 12000 USD / per drone. That includes the computer and sensors (off-the-shelf), documentation, support, and regulatory manuals.
