Idea

Impetum Industries has created a new type of projectile that can be used in all small caliber rifles to defeat Level 4 Ceramic plates out to 300 meters. It is competitively priced with current ammunition and is affordable for the civilian and military spaces. There are no modifications needed to be made to the rifle making it compatible with already existing weapons platforms. Impetum Industries currently has a US patent pending status. For more in-depth information an NDA will be needed.

Current Status

Impetum Industries has a working prototype, further testing is needed to improve accuracy. We also currently have the initial stages of manufacturing set up and are in talks with distributors.

Market

The target customer group initially will be the American sportsman, long-range shooter, hunter, and survivalist. After the initial debuted to the public for initial sales Impetum Industries will shift gears to look at the global military market and look for countries to adopt the round for service. The United States alone has a $4 Billion dollar market of which Impetum Industries will be initially targeting the 30 caliber sales. This sub-market is worth half a billion dollars but we'll later expand to all calibers. The global ammunition market is worth $12 Billion.

Problem or Opportunity

There are two issues that this round aims to solve. The first is the civilian market which has ammunition continually increasing in cost. The second problem this round aims to solve is that of soldiers being issued level 4 ceramic armor globally.

Solution (product or service)

This round not only performs better than traditional ammunition in terms of penetration and effective range. It also will remain relatively stable in price for many years to come so civilians/hunters do not have to pay more for their hobby and better performance. The issue with the modern military is that this round can punch through a level 4 ceramic plate at 300 meters. It also does not require a military to adapt any of their current gear to the new round as it works in any rifle or machine gun in service it is chambered to.

Competitors

There are no other alternatives to this type of ammunition that are close to performance. Competitors will be Winchester, Fiocchi, and Sig Sauer. However, due to the nature of our patent, they cannot compete with the performance that this round offers.

Advantages or differentiators

This is the only round of this type that will be introduced to the commercial market. Its mathematical models show it performs 1.5 times better than standard 308 ammunition when compared to the effective range. The penetration of a ceramic level 4 plate is not heard of in 308 and the cost per round is similar to hunting rounds currently in the market at $1.50.

Finance

The current financial model has Impetum Industries targeting 1% of the 30 caliber sales which shows an after operating expenses profit of $2.7 million in the first year. Taking a conservative estimate and saying the sales will increase by 1% per year for the next 5 years without military contracts has the EBIT at $22 million in just the 30 caliber sales. Including all other sales, ie 7.62x39, 50 BMG, ext. We estimate anywhere from $100 million to $300 million globally.

Business model

For the business model, we have an already established manufacturer with the possibility to sell the rights of manufacture to any other ammunition loader. Our initial debut will be at large gun shows in America i.e. Shot Show Las Vegas, Defense conventions, and on YouTube through already established GunTubers who Impetum Industries has connections with.

Money will be spent on

The investment money will be spent on testing, outsourcing small tasks for consulting, marketing, initial market exposure, production, and initial stock.

Offer for investor

I am looking to sell 10% of the common stock in the corporation pre-evaluation, and the possibility of a board seat.

Team or Management

Risks

This project is not a question of if, it is a question of when it will get done. The only risks as of right now are possible legislation put in place to limit sales to civilians however that still leaves the global defense markets in play.

Impetum Industries has never participated in any accelerator or incubation programs.
