Current Status
Building's platform is plug and play with over two dozen service providers, including blockchains, broker-dealers, alternative trading systems, and full real estate lifecycle data collection. We meet institutional due diligence and reporting standards, banking and ISO standards, and cross-jurisdictional operability. The federated data room has onboarded more than $60b in financial assets while Building has nearly $2b of commercial real estate across three continents that will be onboarded.
Problem or Opportunity
Private markets, especially commercial real estate, traditionally have a high barrier to entry for investors, illiquidity, and a lack of data provenance. This leaves over $33b of capital blocked from the affluent and middle markets, increases project risk, and contributes to valuation errors and industry fragmentation.
