Idea

Imagine you and your friends playing Lasertag, anywhere, at any time, in an immersive augmented reality experience, only with the help of your smartphone! We bring you direct multiplayer AR.

Current Status

1. Patenting of an innovative, purely software-based multiplayer technology for mobile AR.
2. Development of the VizarEngine SDK.
3. The first showcase game, LightClash AR, based on our technology, approved on Apple Appstore.
4. Displayed LightClash AR at AWE EU 2022 in Lisbon, Digitec ‘22 in Yerevan and Gamescom in Cologne, +500 testing players.

Problem or Opportunity

Augmented reality has enormous potential to revolutionize how we play games and how we interact with our physical and social environment. However, the development of AR experiences have been held back by technology limiting factors. We saw that direct interaction multiplayer AR experiences were not possible. That is why we developed and patented our innovative image processing technology that enables multiplayer interaction in mobile AR.

Solution (product or service)

Our solution enables your smartphone to position and identify other players who participate in the AR experience. This is achieved through the emission of specific light signature patterns through the flash. Frames from the camera are fed into our digital signal processing algorithm which isolates and identifies each observed other player.

This enables the smartphone to overlay digital information, relevant to the observed other player, such as an avatar or a bar displaying their remaining life points. It also enables you to play first person shooter types of AR games through your phone.

Business model

Primary business is licensing fees from game studios/publishers who apply our technology through the VizarEngine SDK, enabling multiplayer features in their new AR games and experiences. Free apps will be monetized on a case-by-case basis. To popularize our tech, we approach gaming studios to establish collaborations.

Secondary, we approach publishers with our showcase game, LightClash AR, the world's first AR first person shooter game for mobile. The game monetization strategy is premium and in-app purchases.
