Avid could be considered the Instagram for golf, but with an emphasis on shared scores, handicap management, winnings, course lists and most importantly complete league management capability.
Current Status
We have currently launched the app in beta and it is imminently to go into full production. We are seeking to raise a seed round of $1m to complete the launch, provide working capital and set up our marketing channels to launch and drive subscriptions.
Problem or Opportunity
There currently is only one main golf fan mobile app that allows golfers to manage their handicap and live scoring and provide a platform for social media. (The Grint). However what this app does not do which is a gaping hole in the market is provide a platform for managing golf leagues. This is global issue, which currently relies on the manual entry. on spreadsheets.
Solution (product or service)
We have built a fully functioning mobile app that allows golfers to subscribe to one of three plans. Depending on the plan chosen the golfer can join other 4 balls, curate golf tours, manage weekly golf leagues and also facilitate betting within their groups.
Business model
Subscription based SaaS. Users can choose from three packages, with the most popular option priced at $49/month which is inline with The Grint pricing, but Avid being more feature rich. We do not believe this is a winner take all market and the market is largely untapped.
