Umoja is an open source, decentralized credit marketplace that crowdsources debt capital & collateral from global investors to finance emerging market MSMEs. Our mission is to provide the world with risk-tolerant, affordable, open financial infrastructure to accelerate real financial inclusion.
Business model
The protocol earns 10% origination fee from the APY paid on all loans, as well as variable transaction fees (0.2% to 1%) and generates yield on idle capital within its treasury.
