Idea

REX Protocol is a web3 real estate tokenization and exchange platform that gives liquidity to property owners and accessibility to investors around the world.

Current Status

We have just finished the prototype for our decentralized exchange.

Problem or Opportunity

As it stands, property owners usually sell their properties in full using real estate brokers and have very limited access to the equity they have in those properties. At the same time, investors do not have financial capability or access to real estate investment opportunities around the world and can only invest in public REITs.

Solution (product or service)

REX Protocol allows property owners to access the equity in their properties by tokenizing them and selling them on our marketplace. At the same time, we allow investors around the world to access tokenized properties, manage them through DAOs, and trade them on our exchange.

Competitors

Our main competitors are Lofty AI and Realt CO We consider Lofty AI a glorified real estate brokerage where property owners sell their properties in a crowdfunding style sale. On the other hand, RealT is basically buying properties then reselling them at a markup and then charging management fees for them.

Advantages or differentiators

What we are providing is a platform where property owners don't have to sell their whole property, but can sell just the equity in them through a modified batch auction marketplace, something that has never been done neither in real estate nor in crypto. At the same time, we are giving access to real estate investments to investors around the globe with an exchange that will allow margin trading, shorts, and all types of orders associated with regular crypto exchanges but on a dedicated DEX for tokenized real estate. Additionally, we will be offering real estate index tokens (REITs) that represent the real estate market and submarkets.

Finance

Our revenue streams will come from commission fees on the marketplace and the decentralized exchange. We will begin by charging a total of 1% per transaction (0.5% per side, buy/sell). Within 5 years our goal is to grow to $11 billion in revenues and $9 billion in net profit. We expect this to be a conservative end goal considering we based our growth numbers on Binance and the crypto market value is 1/100th the size of the global real estate market.

Our revenue is derived from the commission fees we charge on our marketplace and exchange.

This raise will be spent on finishing the development of our technology, legal contracts necessary for our platform, and operations.
