Idea

We eliminate inefficiencies in the poultry sector by providing farmers with data-driven input credits, advisory and profitable markets using a B2B marketplace

Current Status

We transitioned from a crowdfunding model to a more integrated digital marketplace for farmers & consumers. We have provided inputs worth $920,00 USD to over 1078 farmers, 72% of them are women. Our annual revenue rose from 139,000 USD in 2019 to 599,000 USD in 2021 (audited reports). We currently have 16 employees and recently hired an engineering team of developers, designers and a product manager supported by GIZ.

Problem or Opportunity

We are solving the inefficiencies in the poultry value chain in Nigeria that has caused 80% market gap valued at over 7 Billion USD, poor smallholder farmers, expensive and low quality poultry products

Solution (product or service)

A digital platform that connects input suppliers, farmers and consumers in the poultry value chain to promote a more efficient, inclusive, climate-resilient, and sustainable poultry system in Nigeria.

Input suppliers such as vet doctors , hatcheries, or feed suppliers can connect with farmers on our platform while we fund the inputs based on verified data. Farmers keep records of their farm operations on our platform which helps us generate data on their performance to determine which farmer gets input financing. Consumers buy poultry products on our platform as well.

Business model

We make 10% off all inputs financed on our platform for farmers and 20% off all poultry products sold via our platform.
