Tranzak is a payment platform that enables businesses in Cameroon & Central Africa to make and receive payments easily to and from mobile wallets and bank accounts.

Current Status

>$20K monthly collection average;
>200 SMEs on-boarded
>35k transactions per month.
All utility billers in Cameroon have been onboarded.

Problem or Opportunity

1.LIMITED OPTIONS FOR CASH COLLECTION - Businesses have challenges in receiving money from their customers who use varying payment methods that are not interoperable (mobile wallets, banks) .
2. CASH RISKS: Businesses still have to queue up for long hours to make payouts. Cash handling is very risky .
3. SLOW SETTLEMENT TIMES : Mobile wallets still dominate digital payments but are prone to longer settlement times.

Solution (product or service)

1. Multiple Payment Options for Merchants: Tranzak offers businesses multiple payment options from which their customers can pay.
2. Seamless Payouts : Businesses can make unlimited and instant payments to bank accounts and mobile wallets without having to queue up or carry cash around.
3. Through partnership with multiple banks, businesses can enjoy speedier (T0, T+1) settlement times - which is a far cry from what mobile wallet providers offer.

Business model

Tranzak app runs as a mobile and web app. Our customers are businesses and our portfolio includes retailers, schools and utility service providers (water, telecom, electricity).
Tranzak makes money from :
1. Commission (1 - 5%) earned from billers when users pay their bills ;
2. Commission on earned per transaction (1.8% ) when users make payment to any merchant
3. Subscription fee when customers sign up for our SaaS services (ecommerce, tuition payment system for schools), ticketing/booking system
