Needle is a social media for music that lets people find, share and connect with others through the music they love. While still in Beta, they've already seen 300,000+ connections made on the app.
Current Status
Have 41,000 downloads via organic growth, and a DAU/MAU for target users of 35%. Average engagement time is just under and hour, and our song save rate is 2x better than top Spotify playlists.

Music connects people more than any art form in the world, yet there’s no digital product that actually connects people through music.
Solution (product or service)
Needle is a social app that layers on top of existing streaming services and facilitates deeper connections between artists, fans, and friends. We have created a better UI/UX for people to find, share and ultimately connect through music. Some of our core features include: Song of the Day feed (counterbalance to algorithmic discovery), Group Messages (i.e. discord for music), Top 8 (micro-playlists). We are now working on our full scale product to launch, which will be centered around connecting people through music, as that is our users favorite part of the Needle Beta.
Business model
We are creating an ecosystem of music influencers and listeners, that will easily allow us facilitate grassroots promotion for artists and new releases. You will have to buy Needle Points to promote music similar to how you can buy Tik Tok Coins to boost video content. We have also inked various strategic partnerships that will enable many use-cases for spending Needle Points towards tangible rewards geared towards music lovers.
