We started in the children shoe market (high need for parents, only few relevant shoe brands and high usage frequency) and now expand into the adult shoe market starting with the leading working shoe manufacturer in Germany. From there we are targeting the sneaker segments, outdoor and running shoes, as all theses segments have high return rates and a specific need for size recommendation. We started in DACH, but expand to UK, Japan and USA with our already signed clients.
Problem or Opportunity
Paypal for Shoe Size Recommendation: We measure feet via smartphone, recommend best fit shoes and thus avoid returns in online shoe retail.
Solution (product or service)
We reduce returns for online shoe retailers and thus improve their profit and sustainability. Every return costs up to 19 €, causes up to 850 g CO2 and requires 32 minutes of lifetime from an end user. All these problems get reduced by our service. Additionally we offer a new dimension of online shoe experience as our technology enables every user to precisely measure their feet at home and get our shoe recommendation that really fits. It works without app download on all current devices!
Business model
We are a B2B Software Service for online shoe retailers. To reduce the hurdle for our clients to enter our service we currently offer a purely transaction based model. Integration of our Service Button to enter our service in a shop is free for the retailer, they pay per every shoe recommendation that gets purchased. The transaction fee for every purchased shoe is typically 1,5 € and up to 1,5% of the shoe price. For the dealer it is attractive, as total costs of a return are 11 to 19 €.
