Airrow is building true autonomy for drone and robotic operations. Our platform is drone-agnostic and autonomously swaps batteries and payloads.
Current Status
We have a contract for a pilot with the navy seals to mount a system on an unmanned boat to help them increase the mission time of their drones, and we have secured a pilot with our station for agricultural imaging/crop spraying in Santa Maria and Paso Robles.
Additionally, we are in talks with Walmarts drone delivery team - led by Droneup for nearly a year, and we are now putting together an SOW for them for a custom automated station. We recently began talking directly with Amazons Prime Air team and they are very excited about our technology for their Drones.
Problem or Opportunity
Drones can process images, fly missions autonomously, and deliver packages autonomously - but there still is a significant amount of labor involved in the manual process of loading and unloading batteries or payloads, and managing the Drones.
Currently, 95% of drone operations costs, are spent on manual labor. The current manual method is unsustainable and not scalable.
Today all the large companies using drones such as Zipline, Droneup with Walmart, and Google's wing are using entirely manual operations which is unsustainable and not scalable.
Solution (product or service)
At Airrow we have created the perfect solution to automate the entire drone ground operation, and we call it the Dronehub.
It can autonomously take off and land the drone, swap out the batteries and charge them, load and unload packages, payloads, or sensors of the drone. Its goal is to get the drone back out there as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.
It is designed to easily integrate with the drones the physical and software API, including the supporting system to enable a true end-to-end autonomous solution.
Business model
For larger retailers - we'll offer custom Dronehub solutions.
We estimate that those installations will cost in the range of 200,000-2M dollars. These would also include a monthly subscription for software and maintenance. These customers will require many units and will use multiple drones so the cost may vary per project. For smaller operations, clients will pay a subscription fee, and receive the hardware software and maintenance package - for a monthly rate
