RoboDeck is a fully autonomous deck maintenance robot that automates the expensive and labor-intensive task with a simple, all-in-one RaaS solution.
Current Status
We are currently in a paid pilot with a facility management company, a hotel chain, and various service professionals in Israel and the US.
The robot is in the field daily, however still at an advanced prototype stage. Our 5 patents have reached the national stage and have been filed in the US and Europe.
Problem or Opportunity
Every year Americans spend $20B and 800,000,000 labor hours on deck maintenance. Decks are everywhere, in our homes, office buildings, hotels, restaurants, walkways, etc.
Today the process of deck maintenance is highly labor and time intensive, making it inherently expensive.
Solution (product or service)
Our robot maintains decks in 1/10th of the time compared to manual labor, at 20% of the cost, and with much higher quality.
The device consists of four main components: navigating, cleaning, staining/sealing, and monitoring/reporting. Additionally, the spraying is conducted through a recyclable stain cartridge that contains the stain itself as well as the spray nozzles, on one hand solving spraying systems' biggest problems (clogging and cleaning) and on the other hand providing a straightforward user experience with no filling or cleaning involved.
Business model
We are incorporating a Robotics-as-a-Service model comprised of a monthly fee for the device itself as well as a recurring pay-per-use for the stain cartridge consumables. This deck care subscription model is represented in a $/sqft cost for customers, directly aligned with how they are used to paying now and with their ROI.
