We are 60 days away from launching on October 18th, 2022, both web application and iOS/Android Apps. We have raised about 50% of our see goal and continue to raise additional capital from Angels and VCs.
Problem or Opportunity
We built HealthBird as a customer-obsessed company to affect positive change in the way people shop, buy and track their health insurance benefits. Acquiring a health insurance plan today is the equivalent of going to a dealership and asking a salesperson to show you what cars they have and then, having them ask you, sure, but first, tell me, have you considered what type of fuel injection do you want, sequential or direct? That is not a simple process and is always leaning towards what the brokers prioritize and not the consumer.
Solution (product or service)
HealthBird takes that by simplifying the decision-making process and using a familiar and beloved UX of dating apps like bumble and tinder to help a user make the decision. We ask ten simple questions and match you instantly with the best recommendation for a health plan in your area. We partnered with top carriers from United Healthcare, Aetna, and Ambetter, among others. But beyond that, we digitally enhance your entire healthcare plan experience with 24/7 customer service, an easy way for you to find, book, and manage your doctor’s appointments, track your medications and prescriptions, etc
Business model
We make money from our carrier partners, they pay us a Per Member Per Month fee, that allows us to have a strong customer LTV and our major costs are our customer acquisition fees and licensing fees. We have a gross margin of 40% which is our benchmark, we also have phase 2 and phase 3 roadmaps to help us grow that gross margin beyond 52% in 24 months, with the addition of higher margin insurance products.
