Problem or Opportunity
With a 1:1500 college counselor to student ratio in high school, the only students getting any attention are the ones that are vocal, and focused. This is an even bigger problem with the kids in underrepresented communities. Schools are just not doing a good job of engaging students and getting them excited about the skills that matter when choosing a career or academic path. Without exposure to skills & real world connections they are being asked to make decisions about their future which results in students entering college without a clear plan, end up changing majors & losing time & money
Solution (product or service)
UB’s AI based Tech platform provides a rich and engaging learning experience that can be used in the classroom, home or school. It uses 3D models, Augmented reality, gamification presented to each learner based on their own unique learning style. For example if person A learns best via auditory presentation and person B learns via Visual stimulation, the same concept will be dynamically altered and presented to each learner differently.
Business model
UpBrainery charges organizations a seat license fee for providing our technology loaded with licensable content.
Organizations pay $5K implementation fee + $99 per student annual fee. Annually 1.5 billion dollars are allocated for Career Technical Education in the public school system which so far has been untapped by educational companies. Our content and skills based badging platform allows schools to be able to deliver quality CTE content and measure its success which directly impacts their funding.
