Ella is deployed into 15 memory units with $11,000 MRR growing 50%+ quarterly, ~350 residents with another 100 under contract for 3Q22. Beta clients have expanded 100% with their network of facilities. Feedback has been positive 95% caregiver satisfaction 100% family member satisfaction. Algorithm development, ROI metrics and business development are key priorities.
Problem or Opportunity
Dementia is world-wide crisis growing to 78M by 2030, while the US is growing 30% (8M) in the same timeframe. 77% of 55+ want to age in place and that responsibility is falling on family members, the 'sandwich' generation to manage a complexity of care decisions including a caregiver shortage and turnover rate of an alarming 98.8% nationally. While families may turn to the internet, frustration grows and many rely on the recommendation of friends, and make placement decisions based on availability, cost and convenience to find care options.

TapRoot’s Ella ‘Ella-vates’ the caregiver by providing a mobile app that contains a personalized care management platform for Alzheimer’s/dementia. Ella provides tailored approaches to help manage dementia care and improve continuity of care while providing a bridge if/when paid caregivers are needed. Ella can also provide outcome measures.
Business model
We are a B2B2C, SaaS solution and charge a per member per month fee to be on the Ella platform. As we include family caregivers, we will be a B2B2C and leverage channel partners to reach targeted families/consumers.
