Pulse automatically updates your Slack status in real-time based on your preferences, level of focus, calendar, and the apps you use.
Current Status
Pulse has not yet made a formal press announcement (pending). Pulse has already surpassed 1000 daily organically acquired users since making the product live in Jan. We now have dozens of paying teams and have several larger multi-thousand-person organizations in trials with rollouts planned this quarter. The retention rate is 89% to date. Pulse was also just announced as a winner of Slack’s 2022 Slackathon among over 500 new Slack applications with GTM assistance from their team planned for Q2 2022.
Problem or Opportunity
Team makeup can be distributed across the globe, distributed in the same time zones, working hybrid, and dozens of work scenarios in between. These various work styles have ushered in significant challenges around presence, and the idea of knowing who’s available at any given time for communication that is timely and not distracting.
With lack of presence, remote workers experience frequent interruptions, notification fatigue, lack of workplace empathy, feelings of loneliness, and are finding reduced ad-hoc communications and collaboration.
Solution (product or service)
Pulse has developed automatic status - a digital presence that helps teams feel more connected and aware of their colleagues work preferences. It goes beyond the green available dot and brings rich presence into your digital workplace status.
By integrating 100s of signals to determine real user intent, Pulse automatically updates your status based on your preferences, level of focus, calendar, and the apps you use to create empathy, signal times to connect, invite collaboration, set expectations, make the workplace more lively, and make team members feel more connected.
Business model
Pulse’s revenue model is based on daily active users. An active Pulse user may leave Pulse in auto-pilot and let it continue to automatically update status. Pulse charges per active seat per month.
