Idea

Most online learners drop out because lessons lack interaction, feedback and fun. We offer a TikTok for education with easy to consume content for learners and rapid content creation for educators.

Current Status

We have launched a proof of concept (for Chinese learning) in the Google Play and Apple App stores, gotten international traction and received funding from Hong Kong Cyberport and City University Tech 300.
We have over 100 beta test users worldwide and demonstrated Tagalog, Bahasa, German versions in addition to English

Problem or Opportunity

We wanted to solve a problem with current online learning: Most learners (80+%) drop out often because lack of personalization, interaction, feedback and fun.

As a result, online learning is less effective than it could be.

Solution (product or service)

We aimed to create a Douyin/TikTok for education that addresses this problem with a combination of technology and innovative process.
Our product will offer learners:
• Personalized materials, recommendations based on learners’ interests, habits and level
• Easy to consume bite-sized, video-based content
• Human feedback & community

And educators:
• Rapid content creation with Video creation tools, Q&A, games, automatic internationalization.
• Faster feedback and greater engagement
• Global audience
• Content Monetization

Business model

We will employ a Patreon style model where educators will charge students for use of their content (e.g. as a subscription) and we will take part of that revenue.We will not charge educators initially to build a base then gradually introduce a charging model.
