Head Habitat is a mental health ecosystem leveraging deep learning to convert therapy-averse users to their first ever therapy session.
Current Status
Over 1000 users and growing quickly. 21 courses from 13 instructors on our platform.
Problem or Opportunity
Over 1B people suffer from mental health disorders worldwide, with 75% of them currently not being treated. This is mainly due to lack of awareness, the stigma associated with seeking help for mental health disorders and the high cost of therapy.
Current digital mental health solutions lack innovative approaches to make their services more accessible to new users. Existing companies, be it marketplaces to talk to a therapist online (e.g. BetterHelp, Circles) or self-help platforms (e.g. Happify Health, HelloBetter), all compete for the same users who switch between services over time.
Solution (product or service)
At Head Habitat we are reconciling all existing digital therapy approaches into one holistic platform. The transition from being therapy-averse to becoming open for therapy is a process that we control through a machine learning based, custom-tailored patient journey for each specific user, which enables us to develop a personal relationship with them. By controlling the entire mental health value chain we are able to produce improved therapeutic outcomes and simultaneously unlock greater economic value.
Business model
Essentially Head Habitat is based on a tiered subscription model, starting with an entry level subscription for on-demand video courses. From there, the user is able to access additional features, such as the ability to join online support networks and communicate with other users suffering from the same condition at the same time. The user can then upgrade his subscription to the group therapy tier which enables them to join one group therapy session per week. Once the user is more open and accustomed to therapy, they can upgrade to one-on-one therapy.
