Xenkia is an Augmented Reality (AR) based Product Visualization startup, which will drive the next generation e-commerce.
Current Status
We have an MVP ready and currently doing beta testing with selected users, who are helping us to improve the quality of our product and add new features. Also, we have secured USD 16,500$ from Amazon web services, which we are spending to run our services.
Problem or Opportunity
Online businesses have always been lacking customer confidence, as mere images or videos of products cannot replace the in-store shopping experience. Often videos are used to complement the product images, but still they do not convey the dimensions, especially the mechanical features properly. The customers want to try-out, check the dimensions and color of their product of interest before purchasing it. As a result, product return rate is very high, which acts as an extra burden on the already saturated logistical supply-chain, with negative impact on the environment.
Solution (product or service)
We can introduce Augmented Reality (AR) to the E-commerce industry. It will allow the customers to place virtual products in their immediate environment before placing an order, and check its dimension, color and how well it blends into the surroundings. This platform should be easy to use and intuitive for both businesses and their customers. The AR solution must be able to run in mobile hardwares launched in last 3-4 years serving a large customer base.
Business model
Our current business model is B2C2B. Our initial targeted customers are the ones who are more familiar with technology, like, 3d artists, Engineers, Product designers, Fashion studios, Architects and Interior designers, Hobbyists and Maker community, Educational and Research institutes etc. They usually work for large companies. If we can get enough users from these companies, then we can efficiently reach the large businesses.
