Idea

Sokrio is creating an information bridge between SME manufacturers and retailers to enable data-based decision making for SMEs along with easier and cheaper access to finance for retailers.

Current Status

As of October 2021, Sokrio has 804 subscriptions (63% growth over 1 year) from 16 business clients (167% growth over 1 year). We have also mapped 82,801 retailers (43% growth over 1 year) from all over 64 districts of Bangladesh.

Problem or Opportunity

Due to the manual execution of sales process, the SME manufacturers are losing significant money due to the lack of team accountability, process inefficiency, and failure of data driven quick decisions. The credit-based sales operations delay their overall cashflow from distributors and retailers.
On the other hand, the retailers cannot go the banks due to lack of proper financial information. Whereas the banks and other FIs are looking to fund the retailers, however cannot measure their credit worthiness and lacks the capacity to reach this segment through own sales channel.

Solution (product or service)

Sokrio Distribution Management System enables SMEs to manage their sales channel with significantly higher accountability and efficiency. While collecting orders, SMEs are mapping the retailers and generating transaction data in our system. We, in collaboration with our channel partner, are generating credit rating of each retailer using their transaction history and connecting them with banks and financial institutions.
We are also coming up with other software modules to help SME organizations to have more control over their business operations and improve the overall business performance.

Business model

Sokrio primarily works on SaaS model. We are offering our DMS service in SaaS model, we also plan to offer our future software services (e.g., HR and Accounting) in SaaS model. however, we are planning to monetize our retailer financing operations through transaction-based model. We planning to charge the banks for each credit ratings generated and charge the retailers for each successful loan approval.
