Idea

We help couples lead happy and lasting relationships by gamifying relationship therapy.

Current Status

We have conducted interviews and surveys with 250+ potential users as well as landing pages with over 50.000 reach. 70% of all responses say they would use LoveLane. We have gathered a mailing list of around 80 users and are currently testing our beta app, which is live in both (test) app stores, with 50 users.

Problem or Opportunity

It has been scientifically proven, that our romantic relationships have a huge impact on our mental as well as biological health. However, while self-care and individual therapy is increasingly accepted, couple’s therapy is still being neglected as an important means for promoting health. One of the main issues is that it is stigmatized: 50% of married couples get divorced – but, of those, only 20% try to save their marriage with couple’s therapy. Even if one partner wants to go, it is hard to convince the other person. Also, in Germany, insurances do not pay, so it is very expensive.

Solution (product or service)

We are creating a fun, cheap and effective way to help couples lead happier and lasting relationships.
Are inspiration app supports couples through good and bad times. Similar to a Tamagotchi, the LovePet in our app can have different moods resembling the relationship health – it therefore acts as an early warning system and helps you understand how the relationship is doing. Within the app, the couple can do different quests and exercises to improve their relationship. If they are stuck, they can chat with a therapist. The couple also receives inspiration for every day life (e.g. date ideas)

Business model

Our business model is mainly app subscription based, freemium. In addition, we will monetize with affiliate marketing as well as chats and therapy sessions the couples book within our app. We aim at working together with employers and health insurances to provide the app to users.
