Idea

Our app allows you to limit the time your children spend on their phones while giving them an opportunity to circumvent the restrictions by learning new things.

Cense uses a subscription business model where users buy access to the basic package of three subjects. The AI analyzes a child's behaviour, detects hidden talents and recommends parents to try a third-party course. Third-party courses might be added by companies as well as individual content creators and sold in Cense with a fee.

Current Status

After getting a $30000 grant from the Russian Innovations Aid
Fund we:
•Built a prototype on Java and tested it on 56 children
•Created 3 educational courses English (Language Arts),
Math and General Knowledge
•Created a framework for third party content creators
•Negotiated with three major content providers
•Rebuilt the app on Kotlin, got stuck at trying to make the app
uninstallable , now looking for funding to hire specialists able
to solve the problem

Market

Our target audience are parents concerned with their kids' obsession with the phones. Unable to manage the problem themselves, they are looking for an external solution.

Problem or Opportunity

Parents are worried about their children’s obsession with their mobile phones.
89% of parents blame themselves for the responsibility of a child’s phone use, while 72% of parents are concerned that their children spend too much time on their phones. That is why we see such popularity of apps like Google Family Link or Kaspersky Safe Kids with millions of installs.

Solution (product or service)

Cense is an AI-driven app that limits the amount of time children spend on their phones each day.
Cense uses a subscription business model where users buy access to the basic package of three subjects. The AI analyzes a child's behaviour, detects hidden talents and recommends parents to try a third-party course. Third-party courses might be added by companies as well as individual content creators and sold in Cense with a fee.

Competitors

We're competing with Google Family Link, Disney's Circle and Kaspersky Safe Kids.

Advantages or differentiators

Unlike Google Family Link, Disney's Circle and Kaspersky Safe Kids, Cense offers VALUE: not only it helps you manage your children's screen time, it also makes them smarter and doesn't cut them off their friends and things they like. It is a win-win solution.

Business model

Our business model is subscription-based: parents purchase a subscription for the main package and add other courses following the recommendations of the AI or their own choice.
We also charge a fee for third-party courses sold at our platform, which also makes Cense a sort of a marketplace: anyone can create a course, upload it to Cense and start earning money.

Money will be spent on

Adding essential features that will make Cense a customer-ready product, marketing and hiring staff.
