Idea

What’s the matter with my baby? A question that is bothering millions of young parents every single day and night. With Leevi we provide the next level of baby monitoring. Leevi is based on a high-end bracelet that continuously collects various health and wellbeing-related data points (e.g. heart rate, oxygen saturation). Leevi leverages AI algorithms to translate the collected vital parameters into actionable insights. For the first time parents get the whole picture of their infants' health and wellbeing at a glance on their smartphone — combined with actionable insights and content .

Current Status

Functional prototype will be completed by end of June.
Ongoing traction study confirms demand and product/market fit.

Market

There is a large, 1.2 billion market, rapidly growing to 1.9 billion in the next couple of years calling for Leevi. This is mostly due to the exponential growth of digital health and wearable technology, and the new generation of parents being more tech-savvy than ever.
Target age group: Parents of infants from birth to the age of 3 years.
In our target region (DACH, US, Canada, UK) there is approximately 18 M of customers.

Young parents are guided by their intuition, yet that intuition often falls short in providing them peace of mind. Their little ones cannot relieve them of their fears nor answer their questions—is he sick? Is he hungry? Too cold? Too warm? Is he having trouble breathing? Should I be worried?
These thoughts keep millions of parents up at night and stressed each and every day. The insecurity about the needs and health of their baby results in a rollercoaster of challenges and emotions.
On top of that, current baby-monitoring products are outdated and fail to provide the assurance and guidance that parents are looking for.

That’s where Leevi steps in. Our bracelet embodies an all-in-one solution for health tracking and sleep monitoring – in a sleek, fashionable design. It contains the latest micro-sensor technology and accurately measures a dozen vital parameters from the body and its surroundings. Our science-based AI transforms these data points into actionable insights for parents. Leevi is thereby the only product that paints a complete data-driven picture of the child’s health and wellbeing.

Competitors

Competitors are AngelCare, Neebo and Owlet. These products mainly measure oxygen saturation and heart rate and mainly target SIDS.

Leevi is thereby the only product that paints a complete data-driven picture of the child’s health and wellbeing.
Leevi has filed a patent application with the patent office which currently is under review.

First, our bracelet can be purchased as a D2C consumer product on our website. We plan to also launch a medical device version in the years to come. The corresponding app runs on a freemium model – all key features are free, but customers can subscribe to additional features, such as curated content to support infant development.

Incubation/Acceleration programs accomplishment

1) Participation in the accelerator GrowF from Female Founders.
2) Patent application filed.
3) Public grant that supports development of prototype (Innovationsgutschein by ISB).
4) Public grant for 50 % of cost of patent (by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie)
5) Eligible for "INVEST" Program (business angels receive a tax-free refund of 20 percent of their investment in Germany)
