Idea

For worldwide passengers who want to directly travel from any A to B points, FlightHunter is a platform that, using gig economy principles, allows people to increase the efficiency and affordability of flights. Unlike competitors, our app gives flight suggestions based on passengers’ needs. Based on the individual choices, we generate data, which is then used for scheduling flight destinations.

Current Status

Currently, we are working on our MVP, which is already in both Play Market and App Store. The MVP is in its beta testing period. The key functionality of the app is working but there are areas that should be developed and modified. With this app we already have 1000 registered users who are testing the product.

Market

Currently, people have the chance to fly only where airlines already have set flights. This causes to large losses, as many passengers can't afford such air travel. Here we should not only consider finances but also time effectivity. With our product not only current travelers will be able to take affordable direct charter flights, but we will bring new air passengers into industry. Therefore, we do not focus on taking a portion from the market, but bringing new customers to it and widening the whole industry. The overall number of air passengers are predicted to be 2.8bln in 2021. We target only 1% of this market, and plan to increase the market by 10%.

Problem or Opportunity

Our team believes that in the post-pandemic world there is a lack of data in the aviation industry. Firstly, we believe that there are a lot of people who are looking for direct flights, even though a lot of airlines are not scheduling regular flights. Secondly, each airline had its own statistics and analyzed them to understand which destinations are popular and will have a higher passenger load factor. However, in a post-pandemic world when rules are constantly changing, and the number of passengers has sharply dropped, it's expensive and time-consuming for airlines to do their own research.

Solution (product or service)

Unlike competitors, our app gives flight suggestions based on passengers’ needs. Based on the individual choices, we generate data, which is then used for scheduling flight destinations.

Nowadays, when the airlines decide which flight directions to process, passengers literally have no voice of choosing wh ere to fly. We suggest a new communication channel between passengers and airlines, where passengers are the ones to suggest flight locations.

In our platform passengers get the opportunity to select/ open flight destinations that are more suitable for them. The gathered and analyzed data will be provided to airlines accordingly, who will be able to process those charter flights. Based on these data we will offer new price generation models which will allow airlines to increase Passenger Load Factors.

Competitors

Direct competitors are “Skyscanner”, “LastMinute”, “AlternativeAirlines”, “Kayak” and “Expedia”. Indirect competitors are all the platforms that provide ticket searching and selling services.

Advantages or differentiators

What distinguishes us from our competitors is that they sell tickets from regular flights by airlines. Instead we are able to generate new flights and sell tickets for the flight, which wouldn’t have been conducted otherwise.

Other advantages include a new pricing model based on gathered data, understanding users’ preferences and demands, making sure that no overbooking will be used.

Finance

In the first quarter of 2022 we already plan to sell 3500 units, i.e. tickets for direct charter flights. We already have partnerships with couple of airlines, whom we constantly provide passengers' travel preferences data. We plan to increase the number of our partners before Q1 2022 and reach to 10 constant partners. The price differs a lot, so we can't provide exact estimation on this yet. In 5 years we want to increase overall market by 10%.

Our main costs are connected with app development, particularly salaries of the developers, designers and project managers, server fees, and website & hosting coverage, and marketing. Proportionally less costs refer to renting, equipment and utility bills.

Business model

Our business model is divided into three main sections. The biggest part of the revenue will come from sold tickets of the organized charter flights. Another, very important part of the revenue, is the prediction of future flights, i.e. we will be able to sell generated data of user preferences, which will allow airlines to create a new flight schedule, and hence, process direct charter flights. As a minor source of income we consider having industry adds in our app.

Money will be spent on

The money will be spent on scaling FlightHunter into new markets. Our application has many aspects that should be modified or added, so most of the investment will go to the app development. Another portion of the investment will go on marketing and recruiting new team members.

We offer 10% equity instead of the investment.
