Idea

Featured nationally on PBS, the patented 2B0 (To Be Zero) recycling robot for home/office/retail uses generative AI to automatically recognize, sort and process recyclables.

Current Status

Friends and family pre-seed, POC (proof of concept) developed. Patent registered in the USA and pending in Canada, Japan, South Korea and China. Need funding to develop the MVP (minimum viable product). 2B0 is already achieving media mentions in the recycling industry press.

Consumer (household), offices and retail locations

Problem or Opportunity

Most recyclable material ends up in landfills (or in the ocean) as the material has been contaminated or is not economical to recycle. Municipalities that have advanced recycling programs make the process of recycling tedious and confusing.

Solution (product or service)

The 2B0 robot simplifies recycling, makes recycling fun and rewarding, and allows municipalities to save money by reducing pickups from weekly to monthly. Material recycled with 2B0 has higher value and a lower volume. Consumers are provided with feedback to help change their consumption habits towards being more sustainable (e.g. stop purchasing bottled water).
