GØ.io provides a vertically integrated hardware / software 360 camera pipeline for robotics applications
Current Status
About Founder & CEO: I have 15 years experience building computer vision systems, HD maps for self driving cars and machine learning pipelines. I helped launch Samba.tv from a 5 person team to a 50 post Series A team, now they are clocking $100M+ revenue. I was the founding CEO of Civil Maps and helped the company grow from $10M valuation to $250M valuation, and I am still the largest shareholder there. At Go360, I am the founding CEO and am leading a small group of 6 talented individuals creating new generation video pipelines for cameras. I really enjoy my work and am humbled by the traction we have seen to date.
We have raised $260,000 to date from Friends and Family. We have $750,000 in follow on investor commitments in a priced Seed round with a total raise between $1.5M - $2M We have booked $300,000 in revenue from Daimler to develop these cameras We have booked $30,000 from Amazon to start a new pilot with them We have booked $67,000 from O-Intelligence as an early customer
Go360 is a Silicon Valley UC Berkeley SkyDeck and NVIDIA Inception accelerated company that has developed GANs to boost frame rate, resolution, dynamic range in low lumen conditions in cameras. Utilizing image inpainting GANs we further improve the image signal to remove water droplets. Additionally, we also developed a privacy filter that blurs any privately identifiable information from an image (faces, license plates, house numbers etc).
Fundamentally, performant cameras are bulky, cost prohibitive and require lots of bandwidth / power to operate. We are challenging all of the status quo assumptions on how cameras should work using our proprietary video pipeline.
GANs fundamentally allow computers to gain the ability to imagine things. Using GANs in an applied research approach, allows Go360 to incorporate the latest state of the art technology into a form factor that significantly increases the capabilities of commodity $5-20 camera sensors. This has huge ramifications for the Automotive, Defense and Aerospace industries. Enhanced sensor performance directly translates into a broader operating envelope, or more detailed understanding of the environment.
Solution (product or service)
We provide a 360 camera kit and a software pipeline that allows us to in real time construct and semantically segment a scene in order to provide a top down bird's eye perspective to the robotic platform. We deployed a SLAM pipeline, Object Recognition pipeline, a visualizer and several other tools.
Competitors
Recogni Mobileye
Advantages or differentiators
We are application agnostic and are providing primitives to consumers. We put a lot more focus on plug and play user experience unlike Mobileye or Recogni which require lots of hand holding. This reduces the friction of our product adoption. We are the raspberry pi of robotics.
Finance
Selling Camera Kits - $1500-$10000 Data Services - $15/km Cloud Services - SaaS (TBD)
Business model
We partner with companies and unblock their roadmaps by providing them with our sensor kits. Additionally we support them by providing an SDK on thee edge and in the cloud.
Money will be spent on
Improving product and software algorithms
Offer for investor
We are currently raising the $1.5M at a $10M cap on a SAFE note.
The main risk is market timing. The market is going through an innovation cycle and the two schools of thought in autonomy are at odds (Waymo vs Tesla). We are taking our bets from the Tesla school of thought with a focus on cameras and real time scene construction. The market needs to pick a strategy and double down. We feel like we are on the winning side.
