Idea

SaaS Platform that integrates mobility into the Real Estate, aggregates private and public forms of mobility whilst creating a Marketplace for mobility time credits.

Current Status

GaiaGo has already developed and implemented its Community mobility sharing platform into a residential complex, as well as into a business and a hotel (currently closed due to Covid) in Italy. We are serving a business community of 250 users and we'll soon be serving a residential community of more than 1600 residents. The aggregation of other mobility providers and the Marketplace are currently under development. Between November and December 2020 there will be a first release of the Marketplace, which will be further developed in 2021.

Market

Our B2C target customer is someone who moves frequently, aged between 18 and 60 years old, and who is already familiar with sharing mobility and Apps. He belongs to a residential or business community. The demand for sharing mobility option is rising: revenue in the Mobility Services segment is projected to reach US$5,893m in 2020 while user penetration, in the car-sharing segment, is 3.3% in 2020 and is expected to hit 4.3% by 2025, in Italy. With a total of 14.0m people using car-sharing services and 2.4 using bike-sharing solutions. However, there is still a great number of people using their private vehicles ( +9,5 % this year), which to us represents a challenge. Our B2B customers are Automotive players, Real Estate Developers and Mobility Providers. These are customers, strategic
partners or targets for Exit. Real Estate's total market value is $228 TN.
This sector is increasingly shifting from private to shared: with SpaaS becoming a paradigm shift in the way in which the commercial real estate industry has provided products and services to tenants and has changed the role of commercial landlords from rent collectors to Service Providers
Likewise, the automotive, whose total market value is $2M TN, is shifting towards shared mobility forms and MaaS platforms. GaiaGo's proposition is to integrate & aggregate MaaS into SpaaS leveraging these shifts and new trends. GaiaGo is leveraging on new consumers trends and new ways of viewing adv content. Regarding advertising, Global Advertising Market is set to reach US$ 769.9 Billion by 2024, while in Italy is worth 8.2 billion (+ 4%). In particular, the mobile advertising market was valued at $69,781 million, and is expected to reach $243,703 million by 2022. This market is growing at a fast pace: between 2006 and 2019, the market value of mobile advertising in Italy grew from 16 to 1706 million euros.

Problem or Opportunity

Our clients are business, residential and hotel communities who commute and travel frequently throughout their day, using different mobility vectors (from kick scooters to public transport). These users are becoming increasingly sensitive to sustainability and not only need access to mobility wherever they are but also tend to experiment with different forms of mobility. We allow them to have access to mobility in an easy and fast way: through our App, they can plan their trips in advance or book the vector (car, bike..) which is close to home. What is more, users don't have to pay to get around as advertisers will be subsidizing mobility on our Marketplace, thanks to mobility credits users earn when viewing an adv content or when purchasing an offer.

Solution (product or service)

The current mobility ecosystem is fragmented, complex, and inefficient due to the presence of many players, the great number of private cars on the road, and due to the fact that shared mobility vectors get often vandalized. GaiaGo brings sustainable mobility into people's living places which are safe and accessible to users to encourage them to use greener and safer mobility alternatives. GaiaGo solves the inefficiency of urban mobility by providing communities with optimized mobility, based on the number of mobility hours users need to get around. The aggregation of multiple mobility providers enables them to maximize their vectors' usage and the connection to local economies is aim to add greater value to the neighborhood, the area people live in.

Competitors

The Automotive Industry, Real Estate Developers, Advertisers, and Mobility Providers could be potential partners and/or clients. To date, GaiaGo is the only platform that connects these sectors. Our entry barrier is represented by the integration into the real estate. There are however similar mobility projects which are already integrated into spaces such as hotels and businesses. Envoy is the only competitor in California. First Mover. Advantage. Vertical Positioning (Hotels, Office) allow for software integration with no real strategic barrier to entry.

Advantages or differentiators

GaiaGo's platform advantage and POD is the integration in the real estate, to become the sustainable mobility integration standard for urbanization and regeneration projects in Europe. Regarding the integration into spaces, another technological advantage and POC compared to car or bike-sharing is related to the opportunity for users to plan their trips in advance.

Finance

In terms of growth objectives, as per our business model, we aim to activate 32 GaiaGo Building, make 10.000 Users, and sell 1.441.000 mobility units to advertisers. Our goal is to become the go-to advertising platform to engage with GaiaGo buildings communities. Our estimated net cash in 5 years is of 10,571,777 euros with a 18,6% EBITDA and 28,387,937 euros of margin and 4,325,760 of COGS.

Business model

We engage with Real Estate Developers to install the S/M/L multi vehicle platform solution in the development.Developers agree to pay 0.4% of
the development cost in exchange of mobility hours. The community can book their GaiaGo vehicle in the building, and or use their mobility wallet to access any other mobility provider that is aggregated on the app.
Advertisers can purchase GaiaGo credits on the Ad server and use those credits to promote and sell their products and services to the GaiaGo
community on the GaiaGo platform. The community uses the mobility hours to access and use the vehicles on the platforms & on the app.
To sum up: Advertisers invest on our platform, the marketplace promotes their offers and/or adv content and whenever the community engages they earn mobility time credits to get around with GaiaGo's mobility partners.

Given that there are already bigger players in Europe that are moving towards this direction, the risk we might face is not being fast enough to complete the advertising and mobility aggregation.

We never took part in an acceleration program but we are taking part in grants and awards (such as: EIC Accelerator program, Sardegna Ricerche, Bando di Regione Lombardia per servizi di mobilità integrata su spazio Mind Arexpo).
