iMom is an online consulting platform for mothers on both İOS and Android phones. Mothers take appointment from the mentors (pyschologists, education/sleeping/breastfeeding, sports educators, lawyers, career advice givers etc.) Mother takes the appointment from the mentor/consultant, then the consultant/mentor and the mother talk face to face/online through the platform at the appointment time. There are two sides of our potential customers: Mothers & Mentors (Consultants).
If we think locally there are approximately 18 million mothers with the age range of 18-50 in Turkey.
If we think globally there are around 1.06 billion mothers around the world.
From the Mentor side all experts including psychologists, education consultants, nutritionists, sleeping coaches, well being coaches, breastfeeding coaches, career coaches, sports instructors etc. are potential mentors.
I-MOM takes platform usage fee of %10-15 from the mentor session fee.

Being a mother has never been easy but in today’s world it is getting much more complicated. Women have to or prefer to work, have careers and still raise kids. In other cases mothers have to do the household jobs and look after a couple of kids including a little baby. This way or the other the motherhood process is very tough and demanding when handled alone. Mothers are seen as strong rocks but not even a mother can know everything about breastfeeding, setting correct sleeping patterns, BLW, bullying, child development, addictions, psychology…
We offer the mothers to find the experts thus the solutions they are looking for; fr om pregnancy till their children becomes 18.
They get appointments through our application online within a minute and schedule their meetings with the mentors online again. And most importantly all they need is a smart phone or a tablet, and the rest will be done at home. Traffic, parking, busy business lives, long distances will no longer be obstacles to reach the mentors they have been looking for.
On the other hand, consultants of all kinds dealing with everything about Parenthood are also our clients.
In this digital world wh ere speed is important, I-MOM will be an opportunity for the experts/mentors to hold meetings regardless of time & location. No more delays because of traffic, no more location problems. Mentors/experts can serve the clients with only one click through I-MOM platform.
If Mentors/consultants want to reach more than one mother they can give webinars of their expertise on the platform.
Now, with the pandemic, hygiene and social distance is becoming more and more important. I-MOM will be a solution for the hygiene caring, careful mother and consultant population.
Solution (product or service)
I-MOM is a marketplace application working as an app on smartphones.(IOS & Android)
One side of the Wheel is the mothers and the other side is the experts (consultants or mentors).
I-MOM enables the mothers find the experts they need while raising their children. Vice versa it enables the experts find or reach the clients which in our case the mothers and make online consultancy sessions.
The conventional way of consultancy is held in offices. In this traditional way the mentors need to open up offices where they can meet their clients physically and do their jobs. But as anyone would agree mothers are very very busy. It makes it difficult for them to arrange meetings physically to discuss the problems they face while raising up their children. So our app would be a solution.
Mothers download I-MOM application to their smart phones. Then they get enrolled as users. After filling up a research giving some details about themselves they can reach different categories from which they can choose to move on. There are categories such as:
They choose from the category and see the subcategories such as bulying, diet and nutrition, safe attachment, brain development, education etc
Then all of the experts within the category appear as a list and after studying the mentors, the mother can get online appointment. The mother has to pay the session fee which would transfer the payment to the mentor within a couple of days after the session is held succesfully. I-MOM platform gets a certain percentage 10-15 as the platform usage fee.
The mentors do also get enrolled and mark their expertise subjects. Then they submit their expertship documents such as a diploma. After the I-Mom platform approves their mentorship they can set online appointments.
There is no specific competitor aiming mothers as of now.
After the Covid Crisis, consultants started to reach their customers more online through WhatsApp, Instagram, Zoom etc.
Advantages or differentiators
According to traditional methods like office appointments, I-MOM has time and location advantages. Mothers can reach the consultants regardless of their whereabouts at on click on the I-MOM App.
When we consider the digital giants of WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom, Instagram the apps consultants use to talk with their customers, I-MOM has the advantage of collecting all necessary steps inside the app for the consultant; Payment, Notification, Face to face appointment, Reviews.
When the mother takes the appointment, the session fee is paid by the mother to the consultant through the payment system of the app.
10 minutes before the time of the appointment a notification goes to the mobile phones of both the consultant and the mother in order to make them ready for the session.
When the session is over, the mother writes a review of the consultant and gives stars.
I-MOM is a free enrolling platform for mothers. On the other hand mentors/experts pay %12-15 percentage of their usage for platform usage fee. When a mother takes an appointment, she has to pay the session fee of the consultant which would transfer the payment to the mentor within a couple of days after the session is held succesfully. I-MOM platform gets a certain percentage 10-15 as the platform usage fee from the consultant session fee.
I-MOM started its beta phase on April 23rd 2020. Without any marketing effort it has 150 mothers and 50 mentors in 1 month. We aim to increase our quantities at the end of 2020.
By the end of 2020 we aim to have 1000 mentors.
If we plan conservatively;
Calculating 1000 mentors x 1 session a day x 30 days = 30,000 appointments.
Average session fee is approximately 30 dollar.

This gross revenue will increase exponentially when the mentors engage more in the platform.
For the year 2021 if we think about %10 increase every month, we can end up with 2,168,141 dollars gross revenue from platform usage fee of I-MOM.
I-MOM is a marketplace where consultants meet mothers. I-MOM only works as an app, which makes it easy for everybody with a smartphone to reach the platform.
Mothers take appointment and pay the session fee through the platform, whereas consultants reach the mothers through our app in both IOS and Android.
